From 7th till 10th June in "Helios" hotel in
Zelenogorsk city the 14th International conference
«Material Issues in Design, Manufacturing and
Operation of Nuclear Power Plants Equipment» -
MAINSTREAM - 2016, organized by CRISM «Prometey» and
St.-Petersburg Society of Science and Technologies
took place.
 The name "MAINSTREAM -2016" perfectly conveys the main idea of conference where the key research trends in development and research for materials for the NPP equipment have been presented. 2016 became an anniversary for conference’s organizers - the first conference on materials technology for nuclear engineering took place 25 years ago. It has been organized in 1991 on a wave of interest of foreign scientists to scientific developments of the Russian scientists. The interest to this issue maintains now - specialists from Czech Republic, Syria, India, Bulgaria, Germany and Finland took part in «Mainstream-2016».

 On May, 30th in FSUE CRISM «Prometey» XIV International Conference on titanium «Ti-2016 in the CIS», organized along with «The Interstate Association of the Titanium» had took place.
This year in the International annual conference on titanium 220 delegates from 12 countries of the world -
Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Germany, China, Japan and others have arrived here.

On the 3d of February 2016 a RF Government
regulation regarding FSUE CRISM “Prometey” joining
with NRC “Kurchatov institute” was issued.
Two
scientific centres have been involved in joint
cooperation activities for more than 50 years. For
60 years the two organizations have been solving by
joint efforts many important radiation materials
research issues and have been providing relevant
developments in the main directions of modern
nuclear power engineering, contributing to its
efficient advancement. Materials with high radiation
resistance created by our scientists served as a
good base for making hundreds of transport and
stationary nuclear power units.

 On 21st of January 2016 the representatives of
United Shipbuilding Corporation visited R&D
production base of CRISM «Prometey» in the town of
Gatchina.
There are deep business relations between FSUE CRISM «Prometey» and
JSC «United Shipbuilding Corporation».
This time acting vise-president for material logistics and purchasing of JSC «United Shipbuilding Corporation» Mr.Michael Kalugin and vise-president for technical development Mr.Dmitry Kolodyazhny made a visit to R&D production base of FSUE CRISM «Prometey» in the town of Gatchina to see and estimate the production that the Institute provides to shipbuilding plants which are the members of the Corporation.
This production represents electronic systems of anodic and cathodic protection, carbon fibre bearings. Guests also have acquainted with research production base in the town of Gatchina in detail, have appreciated its true value at development and production of polymer-composite materials, ship electrochemical protection systems, also metallurgical, welding and laser technologies. Guests also have outlined further perspectives for collaboration between FSUE CRISM «Prometey» and JSC «United Shipbuilding Corporation».
